Blum to explore brave specification with partners at CDW 2026

Leading furniture fittings manufacturer Blum will champion the importance of “specifying bravely” during this year’s Clerkenwell Design Week 2026, hosting a series of expert-led workshops and panel discussions alongside partner brands EGGER and CLEAF.

Taking place at the EGGER London Showroom, the collaborative programme will explore future-focused specification, sustainable interior design, ESG challenges, ergonomics, neuroinclusive design and responsible trend-led interiors under the collective theme, “Specify Bravely”.

Designed for architects, interior designers, specifiers and KBB professionals, the sessions will combine practical insight with real-world discussion, addressing the challenges facing the built environment and interior design sectors today.

One of the standout attractions returning for Clerkenwell Design Week is the popular Blum Age Explorer® suit, which allows visitors to experience the physical effects of ageing first-hand. Demonstrating reduced mobility, strength and vision, the immersive experience highlights the importance of ergonomic, inclusive and future-proof kitchen and interior design.

Among the key talks is Specifying Bravely for ESG with TiggColl Architects, which will explore how architects and designers can align projects with environmental, social and governance principles through informed material and product specification.

The week concludes with a thought-provoking sustainability panel discussion, The Ethics of Fast Trends: Can trend-led design be sustainable?, examining how the industry can balance creative innovation with long-term environmental responsibility.

Krystyna Threlfall, marketing manager at Blum UK, said: “We’re looking forward to this year’s Clerkenwell Design Week and to welcoming visitors back to our collaborative space for another year. We have a fantastic schedule planned with a variety of talented experts, ensuring there is always something to learn across the three days.

“The partnership of Blum, EGGER and CLEAF brings together three leading brands to offer an exceptional breadth of options, opportunities and solutions for the design community. EGGER London provides a valuable hub where interior designers, specifiers and project owners can connect during Clerkenwell Design Week, collaborate and bring ideas to life.”
