deVOL has announced the launch of Ditsy Delft Tiles –  hand-crafted tiles that naturally companion deVOL’s beloved Ditsy Delft Wallpaper, which features a subtle and charming pattern that inspired this new design. The same vintage allure that defines the wallpaper now comes to life in these durable, hand-made tiles.

Handcrafted Elegance with a Touch of Vintage Charm

The Ditsy Delft Tiles are available in two stunning colourways – Blue and Sepia – mirroring the hues of the original wallpaper design. Each tile is individually crafted in deVOL’s Leicestershire ceramics studio, making every piece uniquely beautiful. The soft, delicate pattern evokes a sense of nostalgia, with variations in the cream tones and depth of colour adding character to each tile. This humble, naïve design is carefully crafted to evoke a timeless, vintage aesthetic that is at the heart of deVOL’s design philosophy.

A Beautifully Imperfect, Handcrafted Finish

In true deVOL fashion, these tiles are made by hand from a durable stoneware clay, extruded and cut with a traditional ‘cookie cutter’ technique using a mallet. After being bisque-fired, the tiles are dipped in one of three creamy glazes, ranging from a soft white to almost clear. The Ditsy Delft design is then meticulously applied in Sepia or Blue before the final firing process. This glazing method ensures the brushstrokes from the original artwork are suspended within the glaze itself, giving the tiles a rich, three-dimensional quality that cannot be scratched or removed – a testament to deVOL’s commitment to both beauty and durability.
