Moores deliver show home solutions for Places for People at Longniddry Village
Leading kitchen manufacturer Moores has successfully completed a high-specification show home project for Places for People (PFP), the UK’s leading social enterprise, at the scenic Longniddry Village development in East Lothian. Located just 20 minutes by train from Edinburgh, phase two of this distinctive coastal development includes 139 new homes, 21 of which are designated for affordable rent.
Moores was appointed as kitchen supplier for phase two of the development following a competitive tender. PFP selected Moores from their list of approved partners – a position earned through Moores’ nationwide support of PFP’s planned refurbishment programmes.
Following appointment, Moores collaborated closely with Allison Sutherland, PFP’s Sales and Marketing Director to select ranges that complemented the design ambition of Longniddry Village. The result is a blend of contemporary and classic kitchen options, including the stylish Vita kitchen in social rent properties and the Oxford and Olika ranges in open market homes.
Premium upgrades include the popular Kensington collection, with a standout pink finish which is proudly on display in the development’s show home, plus 20mm Silestone worktops and a carefully curated selection of glass splashbacks and modern handles.
“Our involvement in Longniddry Village reflects our commitment to delivering stylish, functional kitchens that enhance the appeal of high-quality housing developments,” said Lisa Dwyer, Business Development Manager at Moores. “We’re proud to support Places for People with designs that match the rural-coastal character of the site and the expectations of today’s buyers.”
A dedicated Moores Installation Manager visits the site weekly to ensure a smooth installation process and maintain consistent quality throughout the build programme.
Colin Jack, Regional Managing Director of Places for People Development’s Scotland, said: “We are committed to creating high-quality, mixed-tenure developments that offer more than just homes – they provide the foundations for thriving, inclusive communities.
“Longniddry Village is a great example of this vision in action. The stylish and practical kitchens delivered by Moores have played an important role in helping us realise this ambition, ensuring that every home meets the needs and expectations of our customers.”
