Contemporary kitchen brand Pronorm has marked the start of the construction of a new €15million production hall at its headquarters in Vlotho, Germany with an official groundbreaking ceremony.

The investment in the new 2,500 sq m facility, which is expected to be complete by early 2022, will involve the development of a new warehouse and machine hall which will expand production to include a new fully automated panel store, converting the entire production line to batch size one. The extension will complement Pronorm’s existing 26,000sq m headquarters and factory and will increase the company’s manufacturing capacity from 30,000 kitchens per year to 40,000.

Pronorm’s joint managing directors Thorsten Gösling and Roger Klinkenberg, together with operations manager Gordon Henke and head of industrial engineering Sven Schröder, welcomed the mayor of Vlotho, Rocco Wilken and other officials to mark the start of the construction works.
