Quooker named as The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2023

Boiling water tap brand Quooker has been recognised by The Sunday Times as one of the best medium-sized companies to work for in the UK and Ireland.

Based on employee experience and staff retention, the awards recognise companies that go above and beyond for its workforce. Grounded in six key drivers of engagement: Reward and Recognition, Information Sharing, Empowerment, Pride, Job Satisfaction and Wellbeing, employees are surveyed to find out which companies are getting it right.

Quooker UK, under the management of Stephen Johnson, places enormous emphasis on the importance of people in the company’s overall success. Commenting on the accolade, Johnson states, “We have worked tirelessly to create a company culture that puts the individual first. Whilst we value hard work and expect a lot from our staff, we make it a priority to nurture talent through training and development and are always quick to praise and celebrate achievements. My goal has always been to create an environment where people can bring their whole selves to work and as such, are seen, valued and empowered to grow in ability and confidence. We pour resources into training and staff wellbeing and understand that by investing in our people, they in turn will give back a hundred-fold.”

Johnson continues, “Our company success and enormous growth over the past decade in large part is due to our dedicated and loyal employees. Their commitment to succeed is extraordinary and I am honoured to work with each and every one of them. To be recognised by the Sunday Times as one of the best places to work in the whole country, based on responses from our own employees, is truly phenomenal and incredibly humbling.”
