SMEG unveils refreshed Opera range cookers for 2026

Italian cooking brand SMEG has unveiled a new generation of its Opera range cookers, available in 90cm and 100cm sizes. The updated collection marks the next evolution of one of SMEG’s most recognisable cooking ranges, combining refined aesthetics with enhanced functionality and a completely updated platform.

With its clean lines crafted in Stainless Steel, along with signature easy-to-use level controls which feel both robust and elegant, Opera remains SMEG’s professional-inspired flagship cooker line, forming part of the premium Classic aesthetic created by architect Guido Canali.

The new collection includes four models – a 90cm Gas model, 90cm Induction model, 100cm Gas model and 100cm Induction model – all designed to combine professional-grade performance, advanced cooking technology and timeless Italian design.

Professional performance for everyday cooking

The new models move away from the TFT display, to a touch display more aligned with SMEG’s wider oven range. The 90cm features extra-large 115-litre capacity, ideal for busy households, while the 100cm model comes with 70 and 35-litre cavities, for extra flexibility.

Available in induction and dual fuel, the Opera collection now features Pyrolytic cleaning as standard, making it easier than ever to keep the oven looking, and performing, at its best, whiles Vapor Clean offers a faster, additional low-energy everyday cleaning option.
Meanwhile, BBQ, Pizza, Airfry built-in cooking modes*, plus a meat probe and an extra shelf – either five or two, all combine for more precise cooking control, greater flexibility and versatility.

The collection also includes SMEG’s Circulaire function, allowing the user to cook across multiple shelves simultaneously while ensuring flavours and aromas remain separate.

The Opera features a powerful twin fan system with high-output heating technology for fast, consistent results. Heat is distributed evenly throughout the cavity, allowing the user to cook across multiple shelves with confidence, helping to save time without compromising on results.

Finally, closed door grilling keeps cooking smells inside the oven and out of the kitchen to ensure a safe cooking environment and reduced energy consumption, plus there is the addition of a new cooling system with tangential fan and airflow from the door to the splashback.
