This new deVOL design is called a ‘Task Light’, it is inspired by the kitchens of stately homes and is
specifically designed for high ceilings.

When placed high up on the wall it casts a wide pool of light over a big area of the worksurface. It also works well as a duo if placed on either side of large shuttered windows, creating balance and scale.

This elegant and somewhat unusual wall light has rather beautiful, grand proportions and, due to its size, serves a slightly different purpose than a normal-sized wall light. It also features aged brass brackets, a simple turned oak pattress and a handmade wide creamware shade.

The finish is a delicious, perfect shade of cream and the glass-like glaze subtly crazes over time which
produces an authentic and charming timeworn look.

Whether big or small, wall lights are a great way of mixing up the feel of a room, they seem to create a different, softer kind of light and really give soul and atmosphere to wherever they are placed, deVol recommends using them in a kitchen.
