LG unveils AI-driven, energy-efficient laundry range at IFA 2025

LG Electronics is set to showcase a new lineup of AI-powered, energy-efficient laundry appliances at IFA 2025, targeting European consumers’ growing demand for sustainable and space-saving solutions.

At the centre of the launch is the LG HeatPump WasherDryer (LG WashCombo) – an all-in-one model that combines washing and drying in a single unit. Equipped with LG’s DUAL Inverter HeatPump™ technology and R290 low-GWP refrigerant, the appliance achieves an Energy Class A rating across the full wash-to-dry cycle. A built-under design with large capacity and AI fabric-care features are tailored to European households.

The new range also introduces Microplastic Care Cycle technology, cutting microplastic release from synthetic fabrics by up to 60%. AI-driven wash and dry functions further optimise energy use, while protecting delicate textiles.

LG has also prioritised user convenience: new models offer self-installation checkup tools via LG ThinQ, plus a Comfort Kit for easier setup. The European lineup includes 24-inch WashTower units in a choice of colours.
