The British Institute of Fitted Interiors Specialists (BIFIS) has confirmed another record-breaking month for new applications, marking a significant milestone in the organisation’s continued growth. November 2025 saw 112 new company applications, eclipsing the previous record of 86, set in September 2025. These applications incorporate 128 installers joining the BIFIS community, highlighting a robust and growing interest in fitted interiors specialism.
BIFIS attributes this impressive growth to several key developments over recent months, including its new name. The organisation’s ongoing collaboration with retail partners has proven highly successful, as these partners have attributed over half of the new applications. Additionally, a wave of new retail applications has contributed to the surge, demonstrating the value that retailers of all sizes see in partnering with BIFIS.
Another significant factor has been the introduction of a new registration category, specifically designed for flooring specialists. This initiative has created an opportunity for a broader range of professionals to join the organisation, further strengthening the industry’s collective expertise and raising standards nationwide.
