Leicht Kitchens New facility

Leicht Kitchens expand with new facility

Kitchens International has announced many more Leicht kitchens will be manufactured with the opening of a sizable new production facility in Waldstetten in Germany.

The highly automated plant represents a € 90 million investment from the company and has taken two years to construct. Using sophisticated robots and high quality materials the new facility can produce the consistent quality of kitchen cabinets that Leicht is synonymous with. From the start of the manufacture of the cabinet to the loading of the finished product, the whole plant is automated giving a greater production capacity.

As Leicht’s largest UK customer, Kitchens International (KI) design and install many hundreds of Leicht kitchens each year for both the retail and contracts market. The wide variety of finishes, styles and textures allows KI to provide real choice in kitchens.

Paul O’Brien, KI Brand Manager said: “Leicht is one of our key suppliers and this new production facility will allow more kitchen cabinets to be manufactured in a faster time, yet still providing high quality for the kitchens we design. We’re excited at offering our clients even more variety and more sophisticated cabinetry. We aim to have many of the new designs in our showrooms next year.”
