Award for Virtual Worlds

British CAD design company, Virtual Worlds, is celebrating after scooping an Innovation Award at this year’s KBB Show.

Virtual Worlds was one of four winners to scoop the title in recognition of its groundbreaking suite of immersive reality products, including the ultra-realistic 4D Theatre, and ongoing influence in the KBB market.

The company was selected for the award by a panel of judges, including Andy Bishop, creative director of KBB Birmingham, Hayley Tarrington-Robson, creative director of Day-True, Matthew Walmsley, national sales & marketing director of Blum UK, Colin Wong, creative director of Development Direct and Ruth Bell, editor of Kitchens, Bedrooms & Bathrooms.

Nathan Maclean, managing director at Virtual Worlds, commented: “We’re delighted to have been awarded the Innovation Award at this year’s KBB show. “As a business we are committed to breaking boundaries in in-store technology for the KBB industry. Furthermore, we’re constantly looking to the future of CAD technology and examining how we can develop it as a business tool in order to further support retailers and revolutionise the industry.

“With continued growth, client investment and strong customer feedback, this really is only the beginning for us. From production, through to delivery and support, we are continuously evolving, and it is this combination that’s given us a winning formula that can be of benefit to any KBB retailer.”

Commenting on the win, the panel of judges said: “Virtual Worlds’ 4D Theatre is an effective way of challenging how the industry engages with the consumer. VR has a firm place in the future of the industry and there is room for a huge amount of growth within this market.”
