The Swiss Franke Group is expanding its Nordic presence through the acquisition of Røros Metall AS, a premium Norwegian manufacturer of RørosHetta kitchen hoods and ventilation systems. The deal covers 100% of Røros Metall shares, with financial terms remaining confidential.
The acquisition brings Røros Metall into Franke Home Solutions, the group’s global division for residential kitchens. The integration reinforces Franke’s leadership in sustainable, energy-efficient central ventilation while providing RørosHetta with access to Franke’s international network, broadening its reach and market influence.
Founded in 1946, Røros Metall began as a copper and tin workshop and launched its first kitchen hood in 1981. Over the decades, the company has become a key player in the Nordic market. A long-standing collaboration with Faber, Franke’s leading ventilation brand, has cemented Røros Metall’s expertise, and in 2024 it became the official distributor of Franke sinks and taps in Norway, further strengthening the strategic fit.

Augensen succeeds Christoph Stuebi, who will oversee the integration to ensure a smooth transition. The leadership team aims to expand regional operations while maintaining the high-quality standards both companies are known for.
