Harvey Jones secures investment from Coniston Capital

Harvey Jones has undertaken a Management Buy-Out backed by Coniston Capital. The investment will facilitate the exit of majority shareholders, John Curwen and Andrew Kretzschmar.

Harvey Jones was founded in 1977 and designs and produces quality, hand painted and handmade kitchen cabinetry. The company has 28 kitchen showrooms giving it a national presence across the UK.

Harvey Jones’ Managing Director, Darren Woolsgrove, led the buyout and will take the business through its next stage of growth. He will be supported by the incumbent Executive Board; James Hadingham Operational Director, Matt Dagworthy Sales Director, Melissa Klink Creative Director, and Olivia Faranda
Marketing Director.

Adrian Fawcett will join Harvey Jones as a non-executive Chairman. Fawcett has over 20 years of experience in executive and non-executive roles, across multiple sectors. Notably, he has chaired
Silentnight Group, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of beds and mattresses, and Park Holidays Group, one of the UK’s largest holiday park operators.

Darren Woolsgrove said: “The team and I are delighted to be working with Coniston and Adrian, and we are excited to be collaboratively working with them in Harvey Jones next phase of development.”

Josh Henshaw, who led the transaction for Coniston and will join the board of Harvey Jones, said: “Darren and the team have built an impressive business and offer a high-end, specialist service in an exciting market. This combination made the company an attractive investment proposition and we look forward to working with them to continue to drive growth.”
