Kirtchens Review Laura Ashley Mottram Shaker Style

Laura Ashley launches shaker-style Chisworth & Mottram kitchens

Laura Ashley Fitted Furniture has launched two new kitchen designs for January 2024. The Chisworth is a classic Shaker design with a smooth finish, available in 22 Paint to Order colours, including Claret and Clay.

Shaker-style kitchens are an enduring trend. A timeless and classic look full of character, it’s a design that complements all styles of property, from period houses to modern new-builds. While the traditional in-frame door is a staple of Shaker style, there are still ways of creating a more personal and bespoke finish for the home with different colours, colour combinations, handles, worksurfaces, appliances, walls and flooring.

Mottram (pictured above) is a second Shaker-style kitchen design being launched by Laura Ashley Fitted Kitchens in January 2024. Also available in the 22 Paint to Order colours, including Harbour Grey and Dusky Pink, this smooth finish classic Shaker style has the option of multi panelled doors on tall larders and pantries, integrated fridge-freezers, dressers and wall cabinets for a more refined look and tailored style. Available from Laura Ashley’s trusted network of selected retailers, both new designs are also perfect for everyday cooking as well as entertaining, with pull-out wine storage, dressers and breakfast cupboards featuring space-saving pocket doors, wooden cutlery drawers and a show-stopping home bar.

Meanwhile, the new Chisworth smooth finish kitchen is a one-panel Shaker door design, with plenty of practical additions to create extra storage and usable space, such as a large island, larder with pull-outs for dried ingredients, glazed feature wall cabinets with open shelving integrated at one end – with safety bars to keep bottles and potted herbs in place – and deep pan drawers perfect for casserole dishes and bulky cookware.

“Both new designs – the Chisworth and Mottram – give customers a wide choice in Shaker style,” says Simon Collyns for Laura Ashley Fitted Furniture.

“With 22 Paint to Order colours to choose from and a variety of additional features and storage solutions that can create a truly unique and personal kitchen space. The Chisworth is perfect for simple sophistication with its smooth one-panel door while Mottram is ideal for a more detailed look with its smooth multi panelled doors for tall larders and pantries, integrated fridge-freezers, dressers and wall cabinets.”
