RAK Ceramics tiles specified for Berkeley Hareshill development

Tile and bathroom manufacturer RAK Ceramics has provided surface finishes for Berkeley’s Hareshill residential scheme in Hampshire, with its tiles specified throughout kitchen and bathroom interiors.

Situated in Crookham Village, on the edge of a country park close to Fleet, the Hareshill development features a range of one- to five-bedroom homes, designed with high-specification interiors and a palette of natural materials.

In the kitchens, Berkeley selected RAK Ceramics’ Portofino ceramic brick tiles, chosen for their glossy surface and light-reflecting properties. Measuring 6.5 x 26cm, the tiles come in seven colourways and were predominantly used in white, with green and greige tones featured in selected plots, creating bright, streamlined kitchen spaces.

A soft, nature-inspired scheme continues into the bathrooms, where a combination of textured and stone-effect porcelain tiles has been used. RAK Ceramics’ City Stone tiles in Grey and Bone were paired with Marrakesh tiles in Dark Blue, Dark Grey, Light Blue and White, while other bathrooms incorporate Clay Stone tiles in White and Grey. Available in 60 x 60cm and 30 x 60cm sizes, the porcelain tiles were chosen for their durability, natural stone look and matt finish.

Jenny Welch, Berkeley’s senior marketing executive, said the material selections were designed to align with the overall interior vision for the development.

“The tiles we use are part of the story we’re telling about quality and lifestyle,” she said. “We feel the tiles we chose gave a good balance between aesthetics and practicality. These tiles are durable, easy to maintain, and are sourced from a trusted supplier.

“The colour palette complements the location and is clean, timeless, and welcoming. Ultimately, we want homeowners and visitors to feel a sense of calm, quality, and belonging the moment they step inside their new home. These tiles are modern, but they also feel grounded.”
