Simon Acres Group acquires Oval Deene Recruitment

Simon Acres Group Limited has announced the acquisition of Oval Deene Recruitment Limited, a well-respected recruitment agency in the KBB industry. As part of this exciting development, Oval Deene’s founder, Gemma Creasey, has joined Simon Acres Group as operations director.

Oval Deene Recruitment, established in 2017, provides specialised recruitment services for retailers, manufacturers, and trade specialists in the KBB industry. The company works closely with candidates looking for sales, design, executive, and managerial roles and has received local business accolades and recognition in the National Business Women’s Awards.

The reputation and success of Oval Deene Recruitment are set to strengthen Simon Acres Group’s portfolio and practises further. This follows the group’s acquisition of KBB Recruitment, which was recognised as the sector’s leading job board in 2019.

In her new role, Gemma Creasey is looking forward to growing the team and reconnecting with former clients. Gemma comments: “Simon Acres Group’s vision resonates with me and I have watched the company’s market approach with admiration. When we saw the potential service we could provide to clients, candidates, and businesses by connecting the two companies, it was an easy decision to make. The acquisition combines Oval Deene Recruitment and Simon Acres Group’s substantial expertise and reputation to become the major player in the UK KBB recruitment market.

“Throughout the acquisition process, I have got to know the Simon Acres Group family and it’s clear that we share the same values and ambitions to be the best ‘one-stop’ recruitment provider. I am excited to be part of the team and support the group on its journey.”

Simon Acres, managing director of Simon Acres Group, adds: “We’re thrilled to welcome Gemma to the team. Her deep understanding of the industry, combined with her proven track record of success, makes her an incredibly valuable asset. Her leadership will be instrumental in shaping and developing our team for the future.”
