Kitchens Review Abode LivInc

Abode launches LivInc – a purpose-built inclusive kitchen sink and tap solution

Award-winning kitchen and bathroom design specialist Abode is redefining inclusive living with the launch of LivInc, a sink and tap solution that fuses style, function, and affordability – delivering accessible kitchen innovation without compromise.

Designed from the ground up, rather than adapted from existing products, LivInc is a direct response to the demand for purpose-built solutions in inclusive home design. The result is a fully integrated system that meets practical needs while maintaining design-led aesthetics.

Dan Biddle, product manager at Abode, explains:
“We identified a gap in the growing UK inclusive interiors market, whereby the products available are seldom fit for purpose, unnecessarily expensive or lacking in style. LivInc caters to this rising trend for adapted living by offering a tailor-made sink and tap collection, which is designed and tested for the purpose of being functional, attractive, and affordable for the inclusive kitchen space and wider interiors market.”

At the heart of the collection is a thermally insulated granite sink, engineered to prevent heat transfer burns. Its geometry enables wheelchair access, while the inclusion of workstation accessories—such as a chopping board, trivet, and colander—turns the sink into a versatile prep zone. For added hygiene and convenience, the optional electronic waste (e-waste) feature enables users to empty the sink with a swipe, eliminating the need to reach into hot or dirty water.

The LivInc semi-pro tap champions inclusive functionality without compromising on style. It features a pull-around spray head, high-contrast Braille indicators, DDA-compliant lever, and protective tailpipe fittings designed to reduce leg abrasion—all enhancing user independence and comfort.

LivInc is inclusive by design—not a retrofit solution. From high-contrast tactile markers to ergonomic controls and flexible installation options, every detail is carefully considered. The Braille-labelled controls can be mounted on either the worktop or facia board, allowing installers to tailor the product to individual user needs.

With LivInc, Abode delivers a kitchen solution that fits seamlessly into any modern interior, offering cross-generational appeal and universal functionality. The design-led aesthetic ensures that accessibility is no longer at odds with aspiration.
