MHK to host UK AGM in July celebrating six years of UK operation

MHK UK will host its Annual General Meeting for members on Monday, 8th July, at the Belfry in Sutton Coldfield. This year’s motto “Go for Impact” highlights one of Europe’s largest buying group’s commitments to empowering its members to succeed. Attendees can expect a strong lineup of industry speakers, roundtable discussions, and an evening dedicated to celebrating the best in kitchen and bathroom design.

This summer, the UK meeting will round off a series of AGMs across Europe. Over 75% of MHK’s members across Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, France and Belgium have personally met with MHK and their fellow member communities at dedicated country events.

On 8th July, the international buying group for the KBB sector anticipates welcoming many attendees from across the UK, including current members, prospective members, as well as big-name suppliers, industry partners and special guest speakers. With a full programme of talks from inspiring industry leaders followed by a fabulous dinner with entertainment planned, guests will enjoy an enriching schedule all hosted at the luxurious Belfry Hotel & Gold Resort just outside of Birmingham.

“The AGM is an opportunity for our members to make the most of the vast network of experts that MHK offers access to,” David Morris, Sales Director for MHK UK explains.

“It’s not just about the business insights; it’s about fostering relationships and sparking collaborations that can drive the industry forward as a whole and empower our members. The feedback we are getting from our members across Europe is that everyone is looking for community right now, especially whilst the economy is presenting its challenges. By coming together, we leverage our collective strength and expertise to overcome challenges and seize new opportunities in the kbb sector.

“We warmly encourage prospective retailers to get in touch if they’d like to attend the conference to see what MHK is about and learn first-hand from their peers of the benefits.”

An enriching conference programme

MHK UK’s guests can expect to enjoy insights from inspiring guest speakers such as Damian Walters, CEO of The BiKBBI, who will share the industry body’s thoughts on driving change and improving standards for the installation sector.

The AGM will also feature two roundtable discussion panels; “Supplier deep dive – how to tackle current challenges”, hosted by Darren Summerfield, Director of KBB Focus and “Retailer deep dive – the secrets of success” moderated by Lindsay Blair, a highly respected interiors journalist and “kbb” expert who contributes to The Times, Ideal Home, Build It and other leading homes titles.

Alison Edgar MBE, an expert in improving performance inside organisations will be rounding off the day’s itinerary with an inspiring keynote speech in which she will share her lessons on enhancing motivation, communication, and agility for enterprising retail members.

There will be plenty of opportunities for networking throughout the day, followed by an evening of entertainment including a glittering ceremony for “The Golden Triangle” awards in which MHK will announce the Best Kitchen of 2024 plus a special xeno award for Best Showroom in the UK.

Non-member retailers who are interested in attending the conference and learning more about the benefits of membership are invited to get in touch with David Morris.
