PWS launches new Mornington Oak finish

PWS has launched a new oak finish – Mornington Oak – for two of its popular door styles, Mornington Shaker and in-frame effect Mornington Vale. Mornington Oak has been designed to complement PWS’s paint-to-order palette and features a tinted lacquer to promote colour consistency and prevent colour fading.

Crafted from European Oak, PWS says the new finish combines the character and quality of timber to bring a refreshed aesthetic. Each door features a refined grain structure, chosen to minimise knots and crowns, making it suitable for both contemporary and traditional kitchens.

Mornington Oak can be paired with neutral or bold cabinets for a two-tone kitchen. Designers can also choose a bespoke oak kitchen island to ground the space or introduce oak cabinets throughout for a cohesive look.

According to PWS, Mornington Vale Oak is an industry first, offering an affordable alternative to true in-frame doors with design, planning, and installation advantages. The high-quality in-frame effect detail mirrors authentic shadow gaps featured on true in-frame doors. At the same time, its considered frame proportions support a greater selection of handle styles and handle placement.

Mornington Vale Oak is also compatible with false butt hinges for an elevated classic aesthetic. A bespoke door service is offered on both doors for maximum planning flexibility, whilst door drilling is available for quick and easy installation on-site.
